23 mile trail from the air down point to Hwy 212. The 5 miles in from the mouth of the canyon is breathtaking, following closely path of the Clarks Fork River (the only Wild and Scenic River in Wyoming) ,with views of Bridal Veil Falls and numerous other falls that may be visible depending on runoff from snow melt. The climb up the switchbacks takes some time and driver skill if in a full-size vehicle, but all other modes of transportation will have little trouble. Elevation gain from the canyon to the top is 800' over 23 switchbacks. There are lakes scattered about the area, and near the end you will pass Sawtooth Mountain, an amazing sight along the trail. To the west of the mountain 1/4 mile lies Sawtooth Lake, which is accessible after a short drive down Hwy212 and back onto a forest service road. High clearance vehicle or ATV/motorcycle mandatory if in a motorized vehicle.
